Izak Guide Agreement
The agreement for guides on Izak.
Version 1.0 · 9 October 2026
This is the agreement between your guiding business and Izak. Guides is its own part of Izak: you run your listing on the website, anglers find and request your days in the app. It is non-exclusive, there are no listing fees or tiers, and you can leave at any time with your data. The Izak Terms of Service cover you as a person and apply alongside this agreement.
1Your listing
Your listing is yours to write and approve. Nothing is public until you approve it, and photos are shown only once you tick that they are yours to use. You keep it accurate: your waters, trips, prices, what is included, what is an add-on with a price, what is not offered, your boat, your season and your cancellation rules. Anglers see water names and regions, never a pin on a spot, and your meeting point is sent only to an angler whose request you have accepted.
2Requests, not bookings
A request from an angler is a request. Nothing is booked until you accept it, and you may decline or offer another date. Before you accept you see the angler’s level, their guided days and rating on Izak, and only what they chose to share. Their name and contact reach you when you accept. You never see what other guides have written about an angler, and anglers never see what you write about them.
Answer requests within 24 hours where you can; your response time is shown to anglers.
In plain English. You decide who you take out. Say yes, say no, or offer another day.
3Money, now and later
During the beta no money moves through Izak. Anglers pay you directly, on the day, on the terms your listing shows. Izak takes nothing.
When payments through Izak switch on, Izak takes 10% of a day booked and paid through Izak, shown net of card processing: a $650 day pays you $585, less card processing, paid the day after you fish. Add-ons the angler asks for are paid the same way. There are no listing fees, no paid tiers, no featured placement and no paid boosts, and there never will be a way to pay to rank.
Your cancellation policy and your weather rule apply to paid bookings when they switch on; in the beta, show anglers the policy you use today.
4Verification
Anglers see an Izak Verified badge once Izak has checked your guide licence and insurance, and any captain’s licence or first-aid certificate you add. Izak stores these securely, shows anglers only that you are verified, never the documents, and reminds you before anything expires. You are responsible for holding the licences, permits and insurance your waters and your state require, and for fishing within the law.
5Your calendar
If you connect a calendar link, Izak reads it to mark busy days so anglers cannot request them. Izak never writes to your calendar. Days you accept on Izak are not added to your calendar unless you add them.
6Reviews
Only an angler who fished a day booked on Izak can review you, once. You can reply to each review once. Izak does not remove honest reviews, and removes ones that break the Terms of Service.
7Your business account
A guiding business can have several guides. Each guide signs in as themselves and has their own listing, trips, calendar and requests under the business name. Owners and Admins run the business; a Guide sees only their own. This agreement is accepted for the business by an Owner who confirms they are authorised, and Izak records who accepted, which version and when. Ownership can be transferred and this agreement moves with it.
8Leaving, and changes
Switch guiding off or close the business at any time; your listing leaves the app, open requests are declined for you, and you can export your requests, reviews and calendar history. Izak may suspend a listing that is inaccurate or breaks this agreement or the Terms of Service. When this agreement changes, the version and date at the top change, and the business is told before anything material takes effect.
