Izak Creator Agreement
The agreement for creators and publishers on Izak.
Version 1.0 · 9 October 2026
This is a service and revenue-share agreement between your business and Izak. It is not a licence of your copyright. It is non-exclusive, and you can leave at any time with your data. Each paid stream is a schedule you switch on separately. The Izak Terms of Service cover you as a person and apply alongside this agreement.
1Izak adds to what you earn. It never takes from it.
Your YouTube ads, sponsors, Patreon, memberships and existing deals stay 100% yours. Izak takes nothing from income you earn anywhere else, now or later.
2We only do well when you do.
Izak takes a share only when money moves through Izak, and the rates published here are the most anyone pays. Your own affiliate and shop links cost you nothing.
3Your rates, in writing.
| Your own affiliate and shop links | You keep 100% |
| Your merch and subscriptions through Izak (Later) | You keep 90% |
| Courses and pay-per-content (Later) | You keep 85% |
| Tackle Izak sells from your recommendations (Later) | A referral share of the sale |
| YouTube, sponsors and everything elsewhere | 100%, untouched |
Fees are shown net of card processing. A $100 order of your merch through Izak pays you $87.10: $100 less Izak’s 10% and card processing of 2.9% plus 30¢, paid on the Friday after. Bought in the iOS app, Apple’s fee comes off first and Izak’s 10% is taken from what is left. Izak will never deduct an amount this agreement does not name.
Founding 50 and anchor-partner rates are locked for 24 months from the day the business accepts this agreement. Streams marked Later start only when you switch them on.
In plain English. Every rate is on this page. If it is not here, we do not charge it.
4No exclusivity. Leave any time and take your data.
Post anywhere you like. You can hide any item, pause, or close your business at any time. When you leave, you can export your plays, citations, follower numbers, tags, products and requests, and anglers who chose to share their details with you come too. Closing hides your content from the app and settles anything owed.
5Your content, on your terms.
Izak reads the channels, feeds and sites you connect, and never posts as you. Videos play in YouTube’s own player; podcasts play from your feed with your host’s ads intact; articles open with a link back to you. Izak hosts only what you choose to give it, and it never uploads or copies your files.
You confirm you own, or have the right to connect, what you connect, and that your business is who it says it is. Izak verifies the name before it is claimed and may remove a claim that turns out to be false.
6We learn from your work to champion it.
Izak’s own AI reads your content to work out what each piece covers, so Izak can recommend it to the right anglers and credit you when Ask Izak uses it. Using your content to improve Izak’s own fishing knowledge is on by default and you can switch it off per item (“Let Ask Izak cite this content”). No outside AI company trains on your content through Izak.
7Promotion is welcome, never expected.
You owe Izak no posts, mentions or links, unless you have chosen a partner deal that includes them in writing. If Izak is good for you, we hope you will say so.
8Every kind of fishing.
Fly, carp, bass, coarse, sea, ice and everything in between belong on Izak from day one, and Izak will not favour one kind over another in how it recommends.
9You can’t pay to rank.
Where you appear in discovery, and whether Ask Izak cites you, is earned and never bought. Any paid promotion Izak ever offers will be clearly labelled and kept separate from what Izak recommends.
10Your business account
The business is its own account, with its own name, verified handle, business email, legal entity, payouts and tax details. People sign in as themselves and are given a role: Owner, Admin, Editor or Finance. This agreement is accepted once for the business by an Owner who confirms they are authorised; staff invited later accept only the Terms of Service. Ownership can be transferred, and this agreement and its rate lock move with it. Izak records who accepted, which version, when, and for which business.
11Payouts and tax
When paid streams switch on, payouts go to the business through Stripe, which handles identity and bank details. Izak collects tax residence now, and a tax ID when you give one, so payouts never wait; the tax ID is stored encrypted with a key kept away from the database. Izak files the right form before the first payout.
12Ending, and changes
Either side may end this agreement at any time; your content leaves the app and anything owed is settled. Izak may suspend a business that breaks this agreement or the Terms of Service. When this agreement changes, the version and date at the top change, and the business is told before anything material takes effect; a locked rate is never raised during its lock.
